Bettlejuice Star Glen Shadix Dies aged 58

Actor Glen Shadix, best remembered for his role as the interior designer in the classic film Bettlejuice died this past Tuesday in his home in Birmingham. While the cause of his death is still unreleased, his sister told the Birmingham News that the actor had been recently confined to a wheel chair for mobility and it is believe he had fallen and hit his head.
Of Bettlejuice, Shadix admits to having no suprise over the films rise to cult status.
"We had so much fun filming this unusual and so very original movie that I had a feeling something very special was happening." he said in a 2008 interview posted on his website.
Shadix starred in over 30 feature films including roles in other Tim Burton Classics; The Nightmare Before Christmas and Planet of the Apes. He also appeared in several television shows including; Seinfled, The Golden Girls, Empty Nest and The Fresh Prince of Bel Air.
A photographer and gay rights activist, Shadix was public about his own time in "ex-gay" therapy as a teenager.
Shadix is survived by his mother, sister and brother-in-law.
